Happy Valentine's Week!

Have heard about our very special Bro's and Babes event this Saturday? We just thought we'd mix up our regular Saturday routine a bit in honor of St. Valentine's day. Details at crossfithp.com.

Following Saturday's event stay for the Competitors Rountable Discussion at 10:30am. Our experienced competitors will be taking questions from participants on everything competition related. This is open to everyone.

There will be no 11am class this Saturday.

Also Saturday, the World's Best Boot Camp Savannah is holding it's Bring A Friend Day. Anyone is welcome to join the fun for PT at 10am at the park behind Candler (64th and Atlantic). Please note, there will be a lot going on the next few Saturdays. As a result there will be no 11am class. The 11am Saturday class will resume on March 14th. We will host a couple of park workouts, see events below.

Friday Night Lights are coming! The box is being transformed every Friday night in March. During Friday Night Lights we will be holding heats for all athletes to perform the Crossfit Games Open Workouts, with final fun heats for those not registered but want to participate. Whether you come to workout or just cheer for your friends you'll be glad you did. Saturday 2/28 - Georgia Spring Open Powerlifting meet. No classes at the gym. Join us for a park workout at 9am.

ALSO in February our own house chiropractor Karen Voss will be giving away 14 free consultations and x-rays to 14 NEW patients in exchange for canned goods to be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. To schedule an appointment call Skidaway Chiropractic at 356-5886.

Programming - this week we are getting a little more comfortable pushing the edge of our comfort zones. Workouts are still higher volume as we prepare for the open. As such it is suggested that if you are new in the last few months, scaling either reps, weight, or both is appropriate to get a good dose. Don't forget that all athletes are welcome to stay for up to 45 minutes at the end of class to work on extra strength, gymnastics, and core work on the "Slay your dragons" board.

Reminders-

  • please remember to log-into Zen Planner when you arrive to class. Additionally you can use this service to record scores. You'll find it extremely helpful to record strength numbers and benchmark workouts. These come up periodically. If you have numbers to go off of, you will continue to see improvement.

  • You can bring a guest to any regular class for free. That guest is allowed to come once, before doing an Intro.

  • Get with your primary coach for your monthly 1-on-1 skill appointment. Skill appointments are 15-20 minutes to work on a specific skill. It makes a big difference
