Friday Night Light Updates
If you signed up for Friday Night Lights you are now on a team and should be on a Facebook group with just your team. If not, make sure you are friends with the coaches and captains. Check the CFHP Facebook page for a list of teams.
FNLs week 1 kicks off next Friday with the first Open Workout. The workout will be announced at games.crossfit.com on Thursday at 8pm EST. Here’s a bit more about the Open from games.crossfit.com
For most people the Open is not about trying to earn a title or qualify for the next stage of the CrossFit Games season. It's about joining the global CrossFit community in a celebration of fitness for a few weeks each year. To connect to others in your box as well as those a world apart through the experience of suffering through the same workout at the same time. It lets you revel at the strength and skills you've developed over the past year, and learn what you need to improve.
If you’d like to be able to compare your scores on the World Wide Leaderboard make sure to register at games.crossfit.com. CFHP will validate your scores at Friday Night Lights. For this option you must follow the standards for Rx or Scaled as established by Crossfit HQ.
There will be no 11:30 or PM classes on Fridays while FNLs is happening. Heat times will vary from week to week determined by the workout itself. Each week we will announce the heat times mid-morning Friday. If the heat time matters to you, you can call the gym once the announcement is made and select a time. We will kick off at 4:30 each week.
If you have a conflict with a Friday night event see your team coach or primary coach about scheduling a time to make-up the workout. This option is reserved for individuals who work a shift that overlaps with FNL or out of town that week.
It’s going to be a great time! Volunteers are needed too. See Avery Bragg for details.
Finally - thank you to the folks, whose support is making it all happen. Please support these sponsors!
