Community Updates: April 4, 2016


TRAINING

It’s virtuosity week! Mastering the common, and building for the year. This is the week that the entire gym takes a physical and mental reset. This is not a rest week. We are working diligently towards rebuilding great mechanics and movement patterns. We’re taking time to move and act with intention.

Because we are covering different movements each day, it’s important for everyone to come to as many days as possible. Therefore, if you have a 2x or 3x per week membership then you have a complimentary upgrade to unlimited for this one week.

This week think about virtuosity in preparing for the workouts. Are you well rested? Have you given your body the nutrients and hydration you need to rebuild after the workouts?

Practice taking a few minutes before class to mentally prepare as well. Take a few deep breaths in your car and allow your brain to focus on being present. What are you looking forward to improving? Are you open to changing how you do things? Are you okay with taking a step or two back in order to make greater progress forward? What small victories are you going to celebrate this week?

COMMUNITY

Thank you to our volunteers that helped this weekend with the USAPL meet. It was a huge success!

We have 2 Bring a Friend Days this month. One for The Squad Savannah Boot Camp on Thursday April 14th and the other for Crossfit on Friday April 29th. The best compliment you can give us is to refer a friend! This is a chance for them to see what these programs are like, meet the coaches and community, and get a great workout in. If you know someone who is interested, send them to the Facebook event pages for the most up to date information.

Spring Cleaning is happening on Saturday April 16th! This is where we come together as a community and knock out multiple gym-improvement projects. If you have a particular skill set or equipment you don’t mind sharing contact Drew. There will be one WOD at 8am that day.
