Who do you WOD for??

A little inspiration from Drew...

Outcomes are not guaranteed.

You can train and train for years to become better at a craft, but that training DOES NOT guarantee success. Not everyone wins championships. Not everyone gets the promotion. People who focus only on the outcome will face much pain after failure.

WE want to be PROCESS people.

Focus on the process. You CAN CONTROL the things you do day to day. Try to do your best each day and understand that failure is part of the process. HPA athletes see failure as OPPORTUNITY to improve. Failure is never going to be easy and by no means settle for it. However, everyone will fail at some point. How you RESPOND to the failure helps shape WHO you will become.

Choose to GROW.

COMMUNITY

Our biggest community event of the year is just weeks away! Friday Night Lights!

If you really wanna get pumped for it - check out the FNL webpage for all the video highlights of years past. Last year was pretty over the top - so this year teams are really gonna have to bring the noise! Visit the Friday Night Lights page for videos, info, and registration.

Keep these dates in mind in regards to Friday Night Lights

- Thursday Feb. 9th - last day to register to guarantee your team shirt

- Friday Feb 10th - Live FB announcement of teams and scoring

- Sat Feb 11th - Open Prep Workshop will you give each team a chance to meet together

- Friday Feb 24th - 1st FNL Event!

- Friday March 17th - gym will be closed for St. Pats. We will do the Open WOD Monday in class.

Sponsor Deadline for Friday Night Lights is February 4th.

First Saturday Friend Fest is THIS Saturday, Feb 4th at 9am! Please have friends arrive at least 10 min early to fill out a waiver and discuss any injuries or such with the coaches. Once class has started the coaches may be unable to have this discussion and it's important to keep everyone safe.

Rep Your Gym - is a fitness series designed for EVERYONE at ANY fitness level. It takes place 2 times a year (February/August) at gyms all over the World. Our next event is on Saturday, February 18th where Teams of 2 will take on a days worth of fun workouts. Grab a partner and #RepYourGym!

Calling volunteers and judges - we need your help on Friday Feb. 18th for the Rep Your Gym competition. The competition will start at 9am and last until about noon. Sign up to volunteers here: https://www.breezescoring.com/RepYourGym2017/volunteer

TRAINING

We start this week off with a bang. Clean and jerk 1 RMs bookend a fast metcon. We also have a prep WOD for Rep your Gym on Interval Tuesday. Goat Practice MOD/WOD on Wednesday. Thursday is a training day with an Open stimulus. Friday is an absolute scorcher that feels like the Open Chipper from last year. Bring a Friend Saturday rounds out the week with a super fun partner WOD.

Open Prep Clinics will take place this Saturday and next. Come learn how to properly mobilize, warm-up, and strategize for an Open workout as well as get some great practice in.

  • Saturday Feb 4th - First Saturday Friend Fest - bring someone who inspires you.

  • Tuesday Feb 7th - next small group fundamentals starts

  • Saturday Feb 18th - Rep Your Box Competition @ HPA.

  • Friday Feb 24th - 1st Friday Night Lights!

  • Saturday Feb 25th - Squad Savannah Bring A Friend Day (athletes you are welcome too!)

  • March 11th - Squad Savannah - new Squad Opening Day

  • March 31st and April 1st - Georgia Spring Open Powerlifting Meet hosted by Crossfit Hyperformance (no classes Friday and Saturday)
