So many PRs last week! We really believe that focusing in on particular areas through out the year allows athletes to master movements and see improvement at a much faster pace.
The next 6 weeks kicks off a season of focusing on Oly Lifts (snatch and clean and jerk). These are quicker, more skill based movements. Frequent practice will be key is seeing improvement.
Just like the strength cycle, we start and finish by testing. Pre-test to see where everyone is, train, then re-test to see the effect. Kind of like high school science lab, but much more fun. You’ll see more front squats, pulling drills, and heavy singles during the MODs of this cycle.
We love both catalystathletics.com and the Crossfit Journal for tons of resources. Check out the Exercise Library (http://catalystathletics.com/exercises/) and Olympic Terminology (http://catalystathletics.com/exercises/section/15/Olympic-Weightlifting-Terminology/)

The purpose of the skill session is to give you individualized homework to do either before or after class or at home to propel you towards reaching your goal faster.
