FOLKS volunteering, please come to our information meeting THURSDAY NOVEMBER 10th at 6pm. This will be for judges TOO.

COMMUNITY

A HUGE Shoutout to this year’s sponsors - Waters Tree Service and Benchmark Physical Therapy! Thank you to for providing prizes - Kill Cliff, No Bull, G2OH, and Chill Factor. And of course to the Chatham County Aquatic Center for providing the pool for what will be one of the coolest Crossfit events ever.

To our athletes that are competing on Friday and Saturday - please remember that Friday afternoon the surrounding business are still OPEN. Parking will be limited. We’re asking our competitors, volunteers, and spectators to please park on Sutlive and not in the neighboring businesses.

We still need volunteers for Friday set-up and take down / turn-over, as well as judges. There will be a judges and volunteers meeting on Thursday night for those that can make it.

Another HUGE thank you to Wes Stoneman and RetroFit Designs for our new custom built front desk!

Couple of reminders -

  • Athletes you have a shelf all dedicated to those big bags when you come into the gym. Please use the shelf around the corner from the cubbies and not the floor so that everyone can have easier access to the back fridge area.

  • Athletes, please help us reduce the amount of trash by bringing your own water bottle with you to class. We’re happy to provide cups in case of an emergency but they are not recyclable and clutter up the gym.

  • Please remember to sign in as you come into class. You’ll notice now it’s more convenient on your way to the cubbies :)

  • Last - if you ordered your long sleeve Believe the Hype shirt - they are here and can be picked up at the front desk!

TRAINING

It’s Gobble Games Week folks. The WODs this week are challenging, but will taper in intensity as the week progresses to get you primed for the big weekend. Weightlifting only 2 days this week. I would highly recommend a day off this week before competing. Nutrition will be important this week. Please start to dial this in TODAY. The Gobble Games will give us an idea as to where your strengths and weaknesses lie. These should motivate you to be better. Make sure you schedule your semi-annual personal training session to work on the things that will make you better.
