Drew's Words of Wisdom...

All we have is a Poem today. A Very Important Poem. Enjoy.

The Dash by Linda Ellis copyright 1996

​I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on the tombstone from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke the following date with tears, but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time that they spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own, the cars…the house…the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.

So, think about this long and hard. Are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough to consider what’s true and real and always try to understand ​the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile, remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.

​So, when your eulogy is being read, with your life’s actions to rehash… would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent YOUR dash?



May Small Group fundamentals starts tomorrow, May 9th. The PM time is full, but there are a couple spots left at the am time.

Race, Cheer, or Volunteer - This Saturday, Hyperformance Athletics and athlete Bill Baehner will be cooking up a good time at the Jason Dahlke Adventure Race on May 13th. Literally - Bill is smoking BBQ and we're helping to serve it up! We need volunteers that can help prep and assist with food distribution from noon - until..... If you are interested in helping to volunteer please contact Kelly Hayes.

If you'd like to participate in the races - The 1/2 race itself is run/bike and the full race is run/bike/kayak with navigation. Teams of two can register up until the day of the event but need to provide equipment (rentals can be set up in advance). The event is also very family friendly, feel free to come support and eat! Free activities for kids as well.

R.E.D. Friday is here! Thank you everyone for helping turn Hyperformance Athletics into a sea of red each and every Friday. The message this sends is that our deployed brothers and sisters are not forgotten. XS, S, and M size shirts are still available. If you'd like to be included in the next round of shirts make sure to order on the pre-order sheet. Once we reach 50 shirts we will place another order.

Savannah Bananas Hyperformance Night Out - Let's meet up outside the gym! The Hyperlink crew is helping to organize a HPA Night out for our members on Thursday June 8th. This is a really popular night and is expected to sell out. We've reserved 50 tickets in advance that you can purchase at the gym for $15. This ticket includes all you can eat food, but no alcohol. Since there are limited number of tickets we are asking that members purchase tickets for only themselves and a significant other, but please no kids until all members who would like one have an opportunity to purchase them.


MURPH 2017 - Monday May 29th This Memorial Day we will hold 2 class times, 7:30 am and 9:00 am. The workout is Murph. It can be done individually as Rx'd or with a partner to divide the reps. If this is your first time meeting Murph it should be done with a partner. Please remember that is a hero wod, performed with the highest respect, to honor our fallen soldiers. It's supposed to be a challenge. But it doesn't need to crush you. Properly fuel and water your body in the days before.

This Week - We have an Awesome week planned. Monday is some heavy lifting with a clean technique focus and SUPER heavy overhead. Tuesday is a challenging running WOD. Wednesday is a super fast sprint couplet with thrusters and TTB. Thursday is snatch technique day with a moderate timed rowing triplet. Friday WE SQUAT HEAVY. Saturday is the Dahlke race at Hunter, so in Honor of Jason's sacrifice, we are performing the HERO WOD Dahlke. Partner up and go to town.

CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGE! Beginning Saturday April 8th

  • NEW Saturday 7:30am All Levels Class. It's getting warmer and we know that many of you would like to get in and out on Saturdays. Saturdays are a great day to mix it up with a different coach, different faces, and movements you don't always get to see during the week.

  • Saturday 11:00 am class is now a Level 1 class (using our new level system). This class will be a mix of reviewing the basics, more in-depth skill work, and other fun segments.

Semi-Annual Check-ins - This is also a great time of year to get up with your Primary Coach for a Semi-Annual Check-in. The check in is 30-45 minutes of face to face time to review goals, strategies, homework assignments, nutrition, or whatever you need. A few of you may have been contacted about changing your primary coach to one that you will see more frequently. If you are not sure who your primary coach is please let us know.

Summer Kids Classes - June 5th- July 22nd

Kids Crossfit (rising 1st - 5th grade) - Tue, Thur, Sat @10am

Middle/ High School- Mon, Wed, Fri @10 am


  • Saturday May 6th - First Saturday Friend Fest (9am only)

  • Tuesday May 9th - Next Small Group Fundamentals Class Begins

  • Monday May 29th - Memorial Day Murph! Class times at 7:30 am and 9:00 am.
