Community Updates - October 29th, 2018

Hold up...

Stop HERE first...

No really.

I want to tell you something.

From every corner of my heart.... Thank you for making our community a positive place. A place that is safe to be imperfect. A place where it's okay to always want to be better and at the exact same time content with being human being you are made to me. Now getcha some. J

Drew's Words of Wisdom...

Jen and I heard a cool latin phrase a while ago "ad usum". for the use of is the literal translation, but we like to explain it as To the Experience. Do something just for the sake of doing it. We were in Washington this past weekend honoring Mark, Mike, and all the other Marines. We ran the 10k (6.2 miles) a distance Jen had NEVER run unbroken before. Us hobbits are more short distance folk. She said let's run 5k and see how we feel and maybe walk a little. At 5k, she looks right at me and says AD USUM. I knew what that meant. We were doing it unbroken. Jen did it to see what the experience did for her.

When was the last time you did something just for the experience? You might enjoy who you become when you DO!

Here's the latest TACO Drew's Day - (but actually there is a bonus on our FB page, make sure to check it out)

All those supplies in the front of the gym have been generously brought in by a handful of athletes to take to Panama City this weekend. (See Sandy's post in The Crossfit Social Club to see how they are being distributed to those in need.) The need is more than any of us can fathom.

BUIYATAOO has many meanings, but to me it's combining the little bit that I am capable of with the little bit that you are capable of, of together accomplishing things that are much bigger than ourselves.

I'd challenge EVERY HPA to bring in one supply on the list of needed items before Friday. They all have to fit in Sandy's car so make them count!
