Our thoughts tend to betray us when it comes to future events. The human mind will think the worst and drive our anxiety up tremendously BEFORE events even happen. You can learn to use this heightened sense of awareness to your advantage. But it takes practice. If you don't visualize events before they happen ON PURPOSE, then the wild thoughts will be paralyzing. Learn to control the visualization process. Try to practice this week in the gym. HPA Holiday Party Dec 15th.
We hit this week hard. PLEASE take care of your recovery before and after the WODs. Allow our coaches to modify appropriately if things feel wonky later in the week.
Monday- Partner Chipper with rowing, jump ropes, burpee pull-ups, sit-ups and push ups.
Tuesday- We will heavy back squat and then do a running/squat clean WOD. Light weight will be used, so expect a good burn.
Wednesday- We will shoulder press heavy, then do some station work with deadlifts, rope climbs, and AAB.
Thursday- HIGH Intensity day. 21-15-9 row cals and DB snatch. Finish off the set with max burpees. Then repeat.
Friday- Black Lung WOD with a partner. Lots of light movements but high reps and that wonderful burning feeling in your chest like FRAN.
Saturday- Run and some bodyweight trunk movements.

This November we invite any current athlete that would like to revisit and improve their fundamental movements to join us for Small Group Fundamental Class. You can jump into one class or all of them, but please let the coach know that you plan to come (still capped at 6 people). SGF meets at the following days and times:
6AM with Coach Jared - Mon, Tues, Thurs
7PM with Coach Heidi, Chris, and Drew - Mon, Tues, Thurs
- Tuesday 11/6 - shoulder press, push press, wall balls
- Thursday 11/8 - front squat, thruster, hollow hold, pullup progression
- Monday 11/12 - review, T-spine mobility, FRAN
Our 5 week HyperStrike class is almost over! Starting December 1st, HyperStrike Specialty Class will be offered at the following times:
Wed 5:45 pm *
Friday 10:15 am *
Saturday 10:15 am
*Wednesday and Friday will be the same class curriculum and workout. Two times are being offered for convenience. Participants are encouraged to do either Wednesday or Friday in addition to Saturday. Times are subject to change based on participation. 10 class packs are available for $125 for members and $150 for non-members.
During the Holidays we go to a limited schedule because so many athletes are traveling. By offering only 3 classes we ensure that ALL our coaches get some time off too and that classes are full and fun.
Limited Schedule Days means there will be a 6:15 am, 9:00 am, and 4:30 pm only.
