Community Updates - June 3rd, 2019

Drew's Words of Wisdom:

I heard this in church the other week and I instantly loved it. The WORST thing in your life CAN be YOU. Also the BEST thing in you life CAN be YOU. YOU are the common denominator to your life. Don't let circumstance dictate your life, or day. Control the things you can control like attitude and effort. Making the best out of crappy hands is important to a fulfilled life. Just this morning I woke up to a flat tire. It would have been easy to kick and cuss. I instead chose to take the opportunity of the flat to teach my kids how to change a tire.

Reminder - as we transition some of the space in the gym to a dedicated personal training and consultation area we ask that all athletes place personal belongings in the new bathroom shelves to help make room on the floor. Even if a consultation or session isn't happening at the time you arrive, there may be one scheduled while you are here. Thank you.

Saturday- super fun chipper with wall balls, sit-ups, STO, Devil Press, Muscle-ups, and maybe rowing

Youth Lifting Camp - NEXT WEEK!

Let Hyperformance Athletics help bridge the gap for your kids from middle school to high school sports. Hit the ground running next year with a technique camp for lifting weights. This camp is designed to teach basic weight lifting techniques to rising 7, 8th, and 9th graders. In this camp we will cover lower body lifting techniques for the back squat, front squat, deadlift, lunge, and power cleans. We will cover upper body lifts to include: bench press, shoulder press, push press, and bent over row.

June 10th - 13th 10am - 11:15. Cost is $75 and registration is open to any 7th, 8th, or 9th grader in Savannah. Register here.

We're taken the workout to North Beach on Saturday June 15th. Family and friends (middle school and older) are also welcome to join us. Plan to get wet. Plan to stay to hang out afterwards.

Please be advised that there will not be a designated person to watch younger children, you will be responsible for their well being while at the beach, just as in normal class.

HPA NIGHT OUT At the Savannah Bananas Home Run Derby!

Hang out with fellow athletes on evening of Sunday, July 7th. HPA has 50 reserved tickets (we can get more if those sell out). Tickets must be paid in advance, cash only, and are $18 each. They include all you can eat AND fast passes through the lines. To claim one for you and any immediate family member, pay at the front desk. Tickets will be handed out the week of the game.

July 6th - First Saturday Friend Fest
